We coordinate with Central Jakarta because U-turn is located on the border area

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department wants to reduce traffic congestion on Jalan Pramuka especially during rush hours by conducting traffic engineering starting Tuesday (1/29).

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department's Traffic Section Head, Andreas Eman conveyed, during traffic engineering, his side coordinates with Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-department to close U-turn in front of Sentral Hotel.

"We coordinate with Central Jakarta because U-turn is located on the border area. Traffic congestion is quite long, up to intersection on bypass and Jalan Ahmad Yani," he informed.

Since the U-turn is closed, vehicles from Jalan Pramuka can take a turn on the intersection near the bypass following the direction on traffic light.

"Hopefully this traffic engineering could reduce congestion in this area," he added.
